Get ready: the greatest two days of music Menlo Park has ever experienced is coming. Thirteen top-shelf bands, DJs and music mixologists performing on two big stages and multiple street locations plus a warm, sun-splashed weekend transform Menlo Park into the Bay Area’s entertainment mecca for the city’s big, mid-summer shindig – Menlo Summer Fest, coming up July 20-21 on Santa Cruz Avenue.
The Fremont Park area, branded as Summerland for the festival, will be a major hub of music, food, drink, excitement and energy featuring the Facebook Community Music Stage, the big Hopsland Craft Beer Tent, Mobile Eats food trucks, and non-stop tossing action in Cornhole Corner.
At the El Camino Real end is the FUNISTA Tropical Beats DJ Tiki Lounge featuring some of the top DJs and music mixologists hailing from the Bay, along with the super cool What’s Up Photo Booth, Stay Cool Misting Tent and copious food and beverage tents.

Chicago the TRIBUTE is a group of nine accomplished musicians that beautifully recreate that all-time great sound of Chicago with powerful horns, rich vocals and a rockin' rhythm section. Whether you are a fan of CHICAGO from the rockin' 60's and 70's, or the power ballads from later years, you'll love Chicago the TRIBUTE!
Want a band that knows how to get the party started and keeps the dance floor jumpin all night long? Then look no further! The Flaming O’s are the Ultimate Party Band. How many bands do you know that can seamlessly go from a Journey tune to a Katy Perry tune, from Adele to Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars to Led Zeppelin, Gwen Stefani to Aerosmith, Michael Jackson to Heart, from Joe Jonas and DNCE to INXS, or from Pink to Queen?
The New American Villains are a rock music collective anchored by Brian Wachhorst, Evan Krasts, and Rick Escobar. These outstanding musicians play great classic and modern rock songs with a twist. Guitar. Lap steel. Mandolin. Stylophone? Banjo? Yes! They cover all-time greats like The Beatles, The Who, Neil Young, Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, Radiohead and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Add thoughtful originals and you've got a great day of music.
Jack Mosbacher is an independent recording and performing artist based in San Francisco. His sound spans the gulf between the full-throated soul of Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke and the big hook sensibility of the modern roots rockers like Elvis Costello and Train. Noted for his high-energy live shows and upbeat tunes that celebrate life and love, Jack has been called “a joyful, exuberant take on the best of pop” by Skope Media and “a great example of how supreme musicianship and composition come together to create an experience that all music fans can – and will – enjoy” by IAE Magazine.
Rumbaché has established themselves as one of the hottest Bay Area Salsa Bands! On vocals, Rumbaché features 2014 Grammy Winner Omar Ledezma Jr., Bay Area Native Jordan Wilson, and recently from New York, Christelle Durandy. Fusing salsa, timba, bomba, funk and whatever else they can find to spice up the mood, they provide a hard-hitting style of playing. And while you can hear them interpreting the classic and contemporary Cuban and Salsa repertoire, they are not shy with their own expression, as evidenced by their hit debut CD “Llego La Fiesta”, released in April of 2011. Rumbaché is the voice of youth for San Francisco's Salsa & Timba scene, and ignites enthusiasm in dancers and musical connoisseurs alike.

Feeling the beat? Jump in and join the fun of Mike Fair’s drum circle. The rhythm master has hand drums from Africa and the Middle East and he will have a few extra drums available, but people are encouraged to bring their own. Fair will also teach his healing principles of “drumming from within,” a concept to help people understand rhythm and connect with their source and their soul’s healing frequencies.
An instrument like the harp doesn’t exactly inspire imagery of driving bass lines and mainstream appeal, and that’s what Bay Area based harpist, singer/songwriter Ella Dawn Jenkins, aka EllaHarp is working to change. Armed with a fresh take on contemporary blues, the musical lineage of composer/arranger Gordon Jenkins, and a unique instrument she designed for the purpose, EllaHarp is pushing the harp out of type-cast genre constraints and doing things differently. Her debut 2018 album "Who Asked You Back" blends folk roots with blues-y riffs and a splash of mainstream pop. Stripped down solo harp and voice meets electric guitar from Sam Eigen (Smash Mouth), creepy mythology meets attitude-laden break up songs, and the harp meets a whole new vault of possibilities.
Talented up and coming musician Lorenzo Wood is a seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter from Alameda. He’ll be performing a variety of new and old pop/rock hits, with a few of his own productions as well.
Emerging young super talent / guitarist Yuvraj Jadav is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose and also the Secretary of the school's guitar club.
